Steep growth in the number of chartered financial planners

Posted Feb 27, 2014
The Personal Finance Society has reported that the number of chartered financial planners is now 4,000 with the numbers rising from 3,500 to 4,000 in the last 12 months. 12% of the PFS’s 34,000 members now have chartered financial planner status.

There has been a 40% growth in chartered adviser numbers in the last two years, a clear sign that a great number of advisers are pursuing higher levels of professionalism.

A further 7,000 advisers are working their way towards chartered status so the steep rise in the number of chartered financial planners is set to continue.
