Update on the regulated Diploma

Posted Jul 03, 2010

Dear Wizard Learner

The FSA have now published the RDR qualifications list allowing the CII and other awarding bodies who have been given approval to now set up their qualifications.

All the RDR level 4 Diplomas will assess candidates against the standards set out by the FSA/FSSC. The FSA are also proposing that a review of these standards should take place every 3 years.

The CII are making their material for R01 Financial services, regulation and ethics available first. A release date for the material for the other exams will appear on their website when known.

R01 assessment format
The R01 exam will consist of 100 questions. 87 of the questions will follow the standard format of a question followed by 4 options of which only one is correct. The remaining 13 questions will be in multiple response format where the questions will offer between four to six options where more than one option is correct. Candidates must select all the correct options to gain the mark. The nominal pass mark for R01 will be 65%.

Our training material
Now that we have the details of the exact assessment method we are now finalising our training material and altering our online system to take account of the new multiple response format questions, along with several new assessment and online course features. We expect to have our R01 material available in early August, the material for the others RO exams will follow soon after. We will have a better idea of timescales when we get further details on the other exams, we will then issue a further update. In addition we will continue to support and update all our training modules for the immediate future.

Kind regards

Mike
